IMS April Planning Date Set

Our most important IMS meeting of the year, the Boston Advisory Board Conference, will be taking place on Wednesday, April 11th, 8:00 a.m. to 11:15 p.m at the BostonCommon Hotel & Conference Center.  This forum of our Learning and Development leaders and advocates is the first key step in IMS’s unique planning process that results in establishing our 2013  Boston seminar schedule. Member representatives are asked to come prepared with input from their organizations to ensure that the top 3 leadership development needs of their organizations are represented.  The forum provides members with insight and ideas for their own Learning and Development programs, discussing what their fellow IMS Partners see as important learning goals for the coming year. The faculty and subject matter that members nominate in this meeting will be presented on our 2013 Boston IMS Ballot sent out in May. The results will be finalized at the June Advisory Board Meeting in San Francisco.

This process is what separates IMS from others in the Management / Leadership seminar domain, and it is what keeps IMS topics current and centered on what matters most in todays competitive business environment.  All 25 IMS locations will be holding the April meetings.

This year we are honored to have IMS President, and the CEO of Athena Online, Mr Jon Peters  on hand to guide the planning process in Boston. Jon is especially qualified to provide insight on both educational topics and faculty.  Mr Peters has first hand experience with the top business thought leaders in the world, many of whom he has directed and coached in their roles as IMS QuickCoaches.  Athena Online has built a library of over 1500 short form instructional videos for the purpose of facilitating management and leadership education.

To reserve a seat at the table for the important event please contact the Chairman at email address: BOSTON@IMS-ONLINE.COM.  Help us bring another impressive lineup of speakers and highly relevant topics to Boston in 2013.

Jason Womack Releases New Book – Author Speaking in Boston Aug 23

We are excited to announce Jason Womack has introduced his new book Your Best Just Got Better: Work Smarter, Think Bigger, Make More.  IMS has bestowed their Book of the Month honor on Womak’s book, so as is customary, our  member coordinators will be receiving a free copy for their business libraries.  This is particularly timely as it is just a few months in advance of his appearance in Boston on Aug, 23, 2012!

Jason has been first conceptualizing and then writing this book for some time.  Mr Womack is one of IMS’s QuickCoaches and one of our high energy speakers for sure.  Now he is spelling out how you can make your best even better!

In Your Best Just Got Better, productivity expert Jason Womack teaches readers that working longer hours doesn’t make up for a flawed approach to productivity and performance. Workers need to clarify their habits, build mindset-based strategies, and be proactive. Womack’s signature “workplace performance” techniques offer specific strategies to consistently and incrementally improve performance.

Readers of this book will:
Understand the fundamentals of workflow and the principles of human performance and
arm themselves with the tools and the processes needed to get more of their work done, on time, with fewer resources, and with less stress.

Making your best better won’t happen overnight, but learning how to effectively manage just a few critical success factors lead to an effective workday and an overall successful professional career.
